Health\ndepartment confirms bed bugs at Marion movie theater<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
November 15th<\/sup>\n2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n MARION,\nInd. (WTHR) \u2013 The Grant County Health Department has confirmed investigators\nfound evidence of bed bugs at a Marion movie theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\ndepartment told our partners at the Marion Chronicle-Tribune the\ntheater tested positive during an inspection last Friday. An Indianapolis pest\ncontrol company found bed bug casings in one of four theaters tested at the AMC\nClassic theater and bed bug eggs in one chair of another theater in the\nbuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\ncompany treated the chairs where evidence of bed bugs was found, as well as the\nsurrounding seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nChronicle-Tribune reported Tuesday night no other signs of bed bugs were found\nanywhere else in the theater. That leads inspectors to believe someone with an\ninfestation at home brought the bugs into the theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Monday\nnight, a Marion woman told Eyewitness News she was bitten all over\nher back and arms after going to a movie at the AMC Classic theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “About\nhalfway through, she said she felt like something bite her,” recalled\nDylan Stephenson, whose girlfriend, Adriana Wisner, was the victim of the\nbites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wisner and\nStephenson said they left halfway through the movie. Now, they’re concerned\nthey may have brought the bugs home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n January 15 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is another report of\nbedbugs making their way into a Phoenix movie theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is not the first time this has\nhappened at a movie theater, and in this particular incident, the mother\nisn’t thrilled with the lack of communication from the theater involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The mother, who did not want to be identified\non camera, said her family went to an afternoon showing of Paddington\nBear<\/em> at the Harkins Theatres at Christown Mall.
